On the occasion of the Champions League final match on 27th May 2009, a UN TV crew arrived in Italy to film the preparations and document UNICRI’s activities within the framework of EU-SEC II and at its new UNICRI Lab Office in Lucca. The Office for Dialogue and Innovation is the first of the UNICRI Lab thematic offices to be opened.

The documentary was shot in Rome, during the planning and implementation of security in the build up to the Champions League final match, and in Lucca, both in the streets of the city during the game and in the Lab’s Office. The UN TV crew interviewed different national authorities, Italian security forces, fans and UNICRI staff.

The film will offer an insight into the workings of the new UNICRI Lab Office’s goals and strategy. The film should be aired to a wider public via the main TV Networks.
