The UNICRI Lab hosted a bilateral meeting with representatives of the League of Arab States, Ambassador Ben Khadra, Head of Legal Department, and Mr. Jasser Alshahed, Department of Multilateral Relations on 22nd and 23rd of October, in Lucca at its Office for Dialogue and Innovation. The meeting was held within the framework of UNICRI's Project “Knowledge Management System on CBRN Trafficking in Northern Africa and the Middle East”, aimed at improving States’ national capabilities to prevent and tackle illicit trafficking and criminal use of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear materials. The meeting’s main objective was to present the objectives and modalities of implementation of KMS II to the League to gain support to ensure full participation of countries from the Middle East.
