The head of the Public-Private Security Policies and Major Events Initiative, Massimiliano Montanari, will present the activities of the IPO Americas project for the next biennium at the Tenth Regular Session of the Inter-American Committee Against Terrorism (CICTE). IPO Americas is the first platform of National Focal Points for Major Events Security that aims to strengthen regional policies and enhance cooperation among Member States in the American hemisphere. Funded in 2006 in collaboration with CICTE as part of a project funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain, IPO Americas envisages to continue its activities thanks to a contribution made by the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
