UNICRI, through its Centre for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics, in cooperation with Technology Against Crime (TAC) in Africa, the CyberPeace Foundation and the AI Media Group, seek to explore together with representatives from African countries, the role, or possible role, of AI in crime prevention in Africa, the state of AI-readiness of law enforcement communities in Africa, as well as new and emerging threats associated with AI and crime.
The virtual workshop will be held on 1 October at 2 p.m. (West Africa Time).
Keynote speakers include Ms. Nanjira Sambuli, Member of the United Nations Secretary-General’s High-Level Panel for Digital Cooperation and Mr. Keith Strier, Vice President Worldwide AI Initiatives at INVIDIA
